ARCO is an association based on the concept of membership, therefore activities and services are reserved for members. The clubs, now affiliated with ARCO, have over time maximized the benefits of the associative form: allowing members to possess a single Card for all clubs, proposing activities at specific contained costs, offering important free services for the health and well-being of LGBTI people, such as HIV – STI tests, the listening service, free distribution of condoms.
No, according to our policy, it is necessary to go to a club with a valid ID to become a member, after following the instructions of our staff and having viewed the statute and any regulations. Once you have obtained the membership card, you can become part of the Association, access the entire national network of clubs (if you choose a national card) and benefit from our services. The same applies for renewal, which can be done after expiration at any time you enter one of our clubs.
We remind you that you are not buying the “card”, but you are paying your membership fee to become a member. Being a member gives you the right to participate in the assemblies and the democratic life of your club, as well as to take part in its activities: being a member also implies respecting the basic principles of the association and the regulations of each affiliate, which you will find displayed in the appropriate spaces. The individual membership fees are set by each club based on the services made available to members, within the framework of the association’s general guidelines.
ARCO membership cards are valid for exactly 365 days from the day they are issued or renewed. Only the travel card is valid for 90 days from the day it was issued or renewed.
You can get this information directly by going in person to any of our clubs (where you can also renew the card) or through the One Pass app on your mobile phone. It is not possible to obtain this information by phone or via WhatsApp for privacy reasons.
