NUDI
NUDI is a group of psychologists who have been working in Italy to promote the psycho-sexual well-being
of LGBTIAQ+ people for more than 10 years. Our work is based on 3 principles:
- Offering psychological and sexological support to anyone who needs to deal with their experiences of
vulnerability/discovery/change related to their sexual identity (coming out, stigma,
gender affirmation paths, etc., etc.);
- Inform the population not directly involved or part of the LGBTIAQ+ community to
eliminate prejudicial biases related to non-inclusive local cultures;
- Train all professionals who work with people (psychologists, doctors,
social workers, teachers, etc., etc.) to ensure that they can provide their clients with an
inclusive and non-discriminatory service.
The work conceived and designed on several levels allows us to continue to have a perspective of
far-reaching change, not merely linked to the fight against discrimination.
As far as sexual health is concerned, NUDI has on several occasions acted as a point of reference
in Roman clubs regarding the prevention of STIs and the distribution of condoms.
It collaborated with We Test in 2019, on the occasion of a traveling training course (Rome, Milan, Naples,
Padova, Montesilvano, Catania) with the managers of Saunas and Cruising Clubs.
